Taking Care of Your Mental Health is Our Priority!
As you continue to navigate the new school year, your School Counselors want to remind you that they are here to partner with you to ensure you have a positive learning and social experience in school. As we recognize September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we remind you to reach out to your school counselor, Wellness Center, teachers or administrators for support and to talk things through if you are experiencing any personal challenges. Talking about your feelings takes courage, and it also builds hope, even if you're feeling anxious or hopeless. From talking to someone close to you or someone who is trained, help is available.
Call or text 988, or chat 988lifeline.org or explore the resources to access support.

#WeAreSFUSD
“After entering Galileo, I managed to make my first straight A’s from pure determination but also the amazing relationships and mentors that I've had the opportunity to build a rapport with. Specifically, my 9th and 10th grade English teacher, mentors from SFUSD, and so many other people and peers. The people I've met have shown me so much passion and kindness, which gave me the ability to recognize how your identity and self-worth are made up of so many different aspects that cannot be confined by or determined from boundaries in academics or mental barriers.”
- Compassion, Senior at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology
